Wind Damage
3/15/2021 (Permalink)
Those who live in Tornado Alley are familiar with wind damage. Frequently rain accompanies wind and that’s when damage can escalate.
According to the Enhanced Fujita Scale in use since 2006, even the lowest level (EF-0) of tornadic activity comes with winds between 65 and 85 miles per hour. At this level homes can lose roofing material. The EF-1 produce winds between 86 and 110 miles per hour which can cause significant loss of roofing material. And once roofing material is gone, the home is vulnerable to water.
If after a high wind event you notice brown stains on ceilings or walls, you could have water damage.
