Hallway Ceiling Water Damage Restoration

After a rainstorm on a weeknight, the interior hallway ceiling of this office started to leak. By the next day it had collapsed in multiple places. Luckily, the office was closed for the day so no one was walking through it when it happened.

SERVPRO of Amarillo was called to assess the situation and determine the cause of the water damage. Once they located the source of the problem, they began to extract the water from the ceiling and set up some temporary fans to begin the drying process.

As the ceiling dried over the next few days, it became clear that there was no longer a safe place for this ceiling to be. It was removed completely and the ceiling was repaired with drywall. With this new ceiling, doors can once again open and close, walls are not taking damage from the water, and contents of the office are no longer at risk.

A full review of the interior and exterior was completed, looking for any other sources of water that may be compromising this space. With the source of the problem dealt with, the new ceiling installed and the walls dried out successfully, this office can now be reoccupied without fear of any more water damage.
