Specialized Drying Equipment Used to Save Walls

A resident of Amarillo, TX, noticed a strange smell in their home. The homeowner immediately called SERVPRO to investigate the source of the odor and assess any damage that might have occurred. It was determined that there was significant water damage to walls due to a plumbing failure. 

After our technicians identified and eliminated all sources of water or moisture behind the wall, they began removing sheetrock to dry out hidden spaces.

When the sheetrock was removed, it was discovered that there had been extensive water damage to the walls. After removing the damaged wallboard, we applied dehumidifiers and powerful drying equipment to remove any remaining moisture inside the stud cavities.

Our Amarillo Mold Remediation crew used their expertise to remove any remaining water from the walls to prevent mold growth. Walls were replaced with new sheetrock, and the AC/HVAC system was fully inspected to make sure there weren't any other areas needing repair or restoration.
