Basement Ceiling Damaged - Amarillo, TX

This basement in Amarillo, Tx was severely damaged to due a pipe breaking on the first floor.  The entire ceiling had to be removed for the drying process and to keep the occupants safe. Once the moisture wicks into the drywall, the drywall becomes so heavy, it can collapse and fall at any time. You can see in the first photo that this ceiling had already began falling. The second photo catures what the ceiling looked like after drywall removal and you can see the beams and boards that we dried out. Once dry, the dry wall and any insulation would be put back and it would be "Like it never even happened".
