Water Damage in Amarillo, TX

These photos were taken at a school located in Amarillo, TX. The customers were very lucky.  The water did not have time to penetrate the flooring, if it had it would have to have been removed.  Once water gets under a floating type floor growth will get a foothold.  Damage to the sub floor is almost guaranteed when that happens.  The same is also true for the baseboards.  Water was not able to penetrate under the base boards.  When that happens the sheetrock becomes wet.  The baseboards are sometimes carefully removed and holes drilled in the walls to maximize airflow in the wall cavity and the wall itself.  When dry, the customer merely nails the trim back on, covering up the holes.  Our customers were very pleased with the services provided by SERVPRO of West Amarillo and most importantly, the results!
